Asilia Giving is an independent charitable corporation associated with top luxury safari company Asilia Africa that supports education and conservation projects in East Africa. The projects are chosen to bolster the long-term sustainability of the wildlife areas in which Asilia Africa operates including: Greater Mara, the Serengeti, Tarangire, Rubondo Island, Matemwe and Ruaha. Asilia Giving focuses on two key areas of intervention: conservation and education. Education is essential in uplifting people out of poverty (a major driver in poaching and habitat destruction), whilst wildlife conservation is vital to maintaining the health of the underlying ecosystem.

Asilia Africa’s mission is to bring education to rural communities, enabling young people to rise from poverty and build sustainable livelihoods. Without an education, children get caught in the inescapable cycle of poverty, often forced to seek risky and environmentally exploitative sources of income. Unsustainable farming practices and poaching are amongst the options they find themselves choosing between.
