Intrepid Expeditions is a licensed tour operator specializing in custom African safaris. The company was founded by Simon Gluckman. Born in South Africa and raised in the US, Simon has been exploring the African continent for over 30 years. As a child, Simon spent summers with his family exploring South Africa’s many National Parks and the famed Garden Route. After graduating from university, Simon spent 6 months backpacking through 5 Southern African countries further developing his passion and his desire to aid others achieve their dream of visiting this mystical continent. Simon has visited nearly every country in East and Southern Africa as well as Egypt, Ethiopia, and several Indian Ocean islands. He has enjoyed all levels of safaris from participatory camping expeditions to a luxury honeymoon in Botswana. Simon brings over 15 years experience coordinating custom safaris to Africa.
