Photos from the event.

Empowers Africa was proud to host an event on January 23rd in New York City honoring the Care For Wild Africa Rhino Sanctuary, the world’s largest rhino orphanage. Founder, Petronel Nieuwoudt and co-founder, Chris de Bruno Austin discussed their efforts at the Sanctuary and were joined by Morgan Pelt and Garth de Bruno Austin, producers of the soon-to-be-released film,Disunity. Guests were treated to a screening of the groundbreaking film’s trailer, which addresses the controversial issue of the trade in rhino horn. The Care For Wild Africa Rhino Sanctuary plays a critical role in the ongoing fight to protect South Africa’s rhinos and we thank them for sharing their important work. We are grateful to all who were able to join us for this event!
