The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest ⁣

The name originates from the impenetrable stands of bamboo, ferns, and vines that impede direct access by foot.⁣
⁣
This ancient rainforest was gazetted a national park in 1991 and is one of the many world heritage sites. It is also the natural habitat of more than half the world’s population of Mountain Gorillas 🦍
