Today is the International Day of the Girl, and a day to sit up and take note of what young girls across African can contribute to the continent’s future. To do this, they need support, education, skills and the opportunity to succeed – and that’s exactly what we would like to draw attention to today.
This beautiful portrait was taken by @blackbeanproductions for @brave_rockgirl a Cape Town organisation that are implementing change in their community and celebrating the young women within it. The strength and resilience they have shown in the face of adversity is truly admirable and shows exactly what girls can achieve when equippied with the correct tools, advice and encouragement.
