Building the Continent’s First Pan-African Biennale & Beyond

The Pan-African Biennale (PAB) is a landmark cultural platform convening architects, artists, and thinkers from across Africa and the diaspora to reimagine the built environment and cultural narrative of the continent. Opening September 2026 in Nairobi, PAB is the first biennale of its kind dedicated entirely to African-led architecture, design, and cultural production.

We bring together:

  • World-class exhibitions and installations exploring African architecture and identity
  • Cross-continental partnerships with leading cultural institutions, universities, and design collectives
  • Public programming that makes contemporary African cultural production accessible to new audiences
  • A platform for African> voices to lead global conversations on resilience, heritage, and the future of design

This isn’t just an exhibition. It’s the beginning of a permanent institution centering Africa in global cultural discourse.
