Today is World Giraffe Day🦒 a day to raise support, create awareness and shed light on the challenges giraffe face in the wild. Did you know there are less giraffe remaining in the wild than elephants? Giraffe numbers plummeted by a staggering 40% in the last three decades, with less than 100,000 remaining today and two sub-species are critically endangered.

At our Ukuwela reserve in South Africa we are very proud to have welcomed two wild-born baby giraffe – the first a female born in December and a second male giraffe calf born during “lockdown” this May. We believe that every individual matters ❤️ Photo by @martinmeyer_wild 🌟🌟🌟
