Celebrating the start of this week with some good news for the team @bloodlionsofficial and their latest award. Every single day in South Africa, tame lions are killed in canned hunts and many more slaughtered for the lion bone trade to Asia. This brutality HAS to stop and the more people that are aware of it, the further the message will spread 🦁

BREAKING: We are thrilled to announce that we have won a @wtm_africa award, in conjunction with @loveafricamarketing for Most Compelling Digital Story.

These awards aim to shine a spotlight on exceptional individuals and businesses which have written the most compelling stories in the book of African travel for 2019/20. “Blood Lions will continue to tell this heart-breaking South African story of the captive breeding and keeping of lions and other predators for commercial purposes,” says Campaign Manager Dr Louise de Waal. “We will continue to work together with the South African tourism industry, so that tourism becomes part of the solution rather than the problem.” Thank you to our partners, our team and to YOU for continually raising the awareness and supporting the Blood Lions campaign.
