At the end of March, Cyclone Idai ripped through Mozambique and Zimbabwe, leaving destruction and devastation in its wake. Over 1000 people were killed across the two countries (and in southern Malawi) and many, many more left homeless. Then, barely a month later, Cyclone Kenneth arrived in the north of Mozambique, completely wiping out villages and almost destroying a nation that was already desperately in need. .
Hundreds have come together across the world to donate to Mozambique but access and logistics are difficult in such remote regions and more is needed in the immediate, medium and longer-term future.
