The Okavango Delta in Botswana is home to approximately 260,000 mammals during the dry season, including, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, antelope, leopards, hyenas, zebras, and crocodiles.
Not only that, it is a place where birds thrive – over 400 types of birds can be found in the delta, including the African fish eagle, the lilac-breasted roller, and the hamerkop. The Okavango Delta was officially declared on the of 7 Wonders in Africa in 2013 – it definitely lives up to this title!
