On Saturday, Sotheby’s became the latest international auction house to end the sale of rhino horn, the second to do so in just two days after Bonhams earlier announced it would stop dealing in such artefacts.
Sotheby’s cancelled their upcoming Hong Kong sale of three lots of rhinoceros horn following an outcry from wildlife organisations across the world.
Along with London-based Christie’s, the world’s top three international auction houses now have a ban on the sale of rhino horn products.
