After a week of not great news in the world of wildlife protection, we’re thrilled to be part of the Business of Conservation conference in Kigali. The event is hosted by our fiscal sponsor, the African Leadership University, and our executive director has just spent three days on the ground. This is the next generation of conservation and we are thrilled to be a part of it 🙏🏼 🌍

“We can all agree that you want your grandchildren to see the elephants, but most importantly, the custodians of the wildlife want their children to survive one more night and have something to eat. As we think about commitments to conservation, we must think about commitments to the communities”, Honourable Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry in Botswana, Bogolo Kenewendo

A powerful closing statement by the Honourable Minister, following TED talks about unconventional ideas in conservation and commitment sharing. Great mix for the BCC Closing Ceremony.

Time to wrap up at the White Party happening tonight!
