More news just in from Rwanda! Our executive director is currently in the beautiful Volcanoes National Park, home to an impressive population of mountain gorilla. Much of the park is, however, surrounded by human communities and agricultural work, resulting in large-scale deforestation and the loss of the habitat and food for the gorillas. To combat this, our fiscal sponsorship partner, The Wilderness Wildlife Trust, is part of a huge reforestation and habitat expansion project which has to date planted almost 20,000 trees on a 42-hectare plot of land.
