Located in southwestern Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of the most ancient and dense tropical rainforests in the world, spanning over 128 square miles.
It is home to around 400 endangered mountain gorillas, which is more than half of the remaining population in the world. It is also notable for having over 300 bird species and 400 varied plant species.
