Today is #WorldTourismDay
Commemorated every year on 27th September, this year’s day focuses on the worldwide COVID-19 tourism recovery effort, particularly in places that have been hit the hardest. This includes the national parks, wildlife reserves, and protected areas in Africa and all those employed in them for whom critical revenue came grinding to a halt when the pandemic hit last year.
“On this World Tourism Day, the COVID-19 pandemic represents an opportunity to rethink the future of the tourism sector… and make sure nobody is left behind.”
