Kenyan Wildlife Bill Passed!

On Wednesday, December 6th the Kenyan Parliament passed the long-awaited Wildlife Bill. This new bill, once signed by the President of Kenya, will become the new Wildlife Act and will impose much harsher penalties on poachers and dealers within Kenya. The elephants and rhinos of Kenya are in desperate need of this kind of protection.
We are incredibly proud of one of our grant recipients, WildlifeDirect, who played a pivotal role in crafting this new legislation and getting it passed.
