Empowers Africa Hosts First U.S. Screening of Blood Lions

Empowers Africa is pleased to announce we raised over $25,000 at the screening of Blood Lions last night in New York City. The screening served as a fundraiser to employ additional NSPCA Wildlife Unit Inspectors who will aid in regulating the canned hunting and captive lion industries in South Africa.
Guests included Ian Michler Blood Lions Consultant and lead character, Andrew Venter CEO of Wildlands, Dr. Luke Hunter President of Panthera, Shannon Elizabeth of Animal Avengers, Richard Wiese host of ABC’s Born to Explore and Empowers Africa Board of Trustees, Nina Griscom, Aisha Haque, Jennifer Kennedy, Michele Gradin, Patricia Glass, Nicci Wiese, Catherine Howell and Krista Krieger.
