On Sunday, August 9th, we celebrated World Lion and World Elephant Day with our 2020 annual film festival. The event itself was a great success; thank you to all that attended and everyone involved. 🦁
On the evening, we gathered on the lawn of The Southampton Arts Center to enjoy a collection of short and long documentaries made by some of Africa’s leading documentary filmmakers, including Beverly & Dereck Joubert who have made over 25 National Geographic films. The films featured prominent conservationists and NGOs in their mission of protecting Africa’s lions and elephants and we also heard from Africa’s eminent conservationists, NGOs and filmmakers.
We are incredibly honored to celebrate these incredible organizations and filmmakers who have devoted their lives to saving Africa’s lion and elephant populations.
