Happy World Environment Day 🌍
Led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Environment Day aims to raise awareness about the regular threats to our environment. First celebrated under the slogan “Only One Earth” in 1974, the event is observed annually on the 5th of June.
WED has emerged as a global platform to raise awareness about rising pollution, overpopulation, illegal wildlife trade, sustainable consumption, and climate change.
This year’s World Environment Day is hosted by Sweden. The campaign for the year, #OnlyOneEarth, calls for a united effort by the policymakers and the public to celebrate, protect, and restore our planet.
