#didyouknow that African wild dogs (or painted wolves as they are also known) are the second most endangered carnivore on the African continent? There’s a true risk of them becoming extinct in our lifetime as they face more and more threats from humans including the destruction of their habitat and snare poaching.
These beautiful canines were photographed by @willbl in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park, one of the few places they can still be spotted- and to see the dogs in the wild is a true privilege and one that we hope remains…
