This International Day of Rural Women, join us in celebrating and honoring women and girls who play a critical role and contribute towards building a sustainable future.
On average, women represent more than 40% of the agricultural labor force in developing countries, including several African regions. However, they are underpaid and do not wield equal power with men. Without them, we have already lost our fight against extreme poverty, hunger, and malnutrition.
