Our friends and partners @wearewilderness play an instrumental part in protecting the wildlife of the many areas they operate in across Africa. The release of these beautiful wild dogs back into the wild in Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park is just one in a long list of successes, many of which occur behind the scenes on a daily basis. Thank you for continuing to look after all our creatures, great and small 🏼

On Friday 4 September, the Mpindo Pack of wild dogs housed in a boma at Wilderness Safaris Chikwenya Camp were released into the wilds of Mana Pools National Park. The 19-strong pack, currently comprising three adults, six sub-adults and ten puppies, have remained fit and healthy thanks to the continued support of Painted Dog Conservation, Wilderness Safaris and the Wilderness Wildlife Trust. Derek Fry, Chairman of Painted Dog Conservation UK, remarked, “We would like to sincerely thank Wilderness Safaris for providing the logistic support and safe keeping of the Mpindo Pack over the many months prior to this seminal moment in the lives of these special animals.”
