You may remember we posted about the #WildlifeRangerChallenge recently – and yesterday, September 18th, was the day of the challenge!
Across 20 African countries, ranger teams took part in the 21-kilometre race (with a 22kg backpack, no less!) to raise awareness and funds for rangers who have lost their livelihood thanks to COVID-19. The funds will be used to get these rangers back into the field – and back protecting our wildlife.
Congratulations to all the those who took part, including the team pictured above from @somkhandacommunitygamereserve who did an incredible job in their race.
