Wildlands/ Wildlife ACT Luncheon Event: Sept. 14, 2016

Empowers Africa was thrilled to host a luncheon on Sept. 14 in NYC featuring presentations by Dr. Andrew Venter from Wildlands and Dr. Simon Morgan from Wildlife ACT Fund. Dr. Venter spoke about various Wildlands initiatives addressing issues ranging from wildlife and land protection to community development. Dr. Morgan discussed Wildlife ACT’s endangered species monitoring programs and the organization’s opportunities for internships and volunteering.
This event was held, in part, to introduce these two organizations as our recently added fiscal sponsorship partners. The fiscal sponsorship program enables our partners in Africa to accept tax deductible donations from U.S. donors through Empowers Africa’s established 501(c)(3), providing them with a cost-effective solution to fundraising in the United States. Empowers Africa is extremely proud to be the fiscal sponsor for these two organizations as they continue to make great strides for species and land conservation in Africa.
