Africa’s greatest resource is its people. Yet millions still face barriers to quality education, healthcare, employment, and the resources needed to build resilient communities. These challenges are deeply interconnected – progress in one area depends on progress in the others.
Through its grantmaking and Fiscal Sponsorship Program, Empowers Africa supports organizations that strengthen communities by investing in education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, youth development, entrepreneurship, food security, and sustainable livelihoods. Together, these initiatives create opportunities for individuals, families, and communities to thrive. We support projects that bolster all stages of education, innovative learning, infrastructure improvements, and student scholarships. We also support healthcare initiatives that provide clean water to rural communities and critical medical supplies to underserved clinics. In addition, we invest in locally led projects – including agricultural initiatives, women’s cooperatives, and beekeeping programs – that build lasting skills and create benefits for generations to come.

Every organization undergoes rigorous due diligence and ongoing grant oversight, ensuring donor support creates measurable, lasting impact.
